1月7日9时5分，西藏日喀则市定日县发生6.8级地震，造成重大人员伤亡，大量房屋倒塌。

1月7日， “零食有鸣公司” 通过中国红十字基金会向西藏日喀则灾区捐赠水、饮料、烘焙糕点、方便速食、八宝粥、饼干等赈灾物资，总价值100万元人民币，为受灾群众提供必要的生活物资补给。8日下午14时，部分物资已运抵日喀则市定日县曲洛乡并陆续发放。
